Rocklin Police Department
Wendy grew up and attended High School in Corning, where she set the girl’s high jump record in 1986. Wendy attended the University of the Pacific straight out of high school where she studied International Relations and played on the women’s field hockey team. She obtained an Associate’s Degree in Administration of Justice, a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Police Management and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership.
Wendy is currently the Crime Prevention/Community Programs & Volunteer Coordinator for the Rocklin Police Department. She started her career at Rocklin PD as a temporary employee in 1989. While working as a Record’s Clerk, Wendy met and married her husband Jamie Reynolds, former Rocklin Police Officer, in 1994. Wendy and Jamie have a daughter who attends William Jessup University.
Through the past 30 years, Wendy moved and promoted through the positions of Record’s Clerk, Police Services Aide, Property Clerk, Communications Dispatcher, Community Services Officer, Lab Technician, Crime Scene Investigator, Crime Analyst, Investigations CSO, Code Enforcement Officer and Crime Prevention / Community Programs Coordinator.
In her current position, Wendy is responsible for approximately 85 volunteers and over 275 Neighborhood Watch Groups. She enjoys giving Child Safety and Personal Safety presentations to various groups as well as volunteering as a Youth Leadership Counselor for Rotary and California Girls’ State. She also volunteers as a Child Forensic Interviewer with Placer County’s Multi-Disciplinary Interview Center (MDIC). Wendy currently sits on the board of the Rocklin Public Safety Foundation, is on the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Rocklin Steering Committee, the City of Rocklin Employee Engagement Committee, the Stand Up Placer External Affairs Committee, and has recently become a board member for the Child Abuse Prevention Council for Placer County.
